Dental Hygiene/Periodontal Treatment
A Dental Hygienist is a licensed health care professional that can work with you to develop a program for good oral hygiene. Research continues to uncover evidence that links oral health to overall health. Routine dental cleanings can prevent cardiovascular disease, stabilize diabetes, and strengthen the immune system.
Dental Hygiene Cleaning $200
A 45 -60 minutes of scaling and polishing is provided at every visit. if you are a new patient, a $30 comprehensive evaluation must be completed. This involves a full evaluation of decay, periodontal disease, and an oral cancer screening. It is important to note that additional scaling time may be required if it has been more that 2 years since your previous visit and additional costs will apply.
Periodontal Treatment $250
Among the causes for periodontal (gum) disease are genetic susceptibility, smoking, and other illnesses like diabetes. Periodontal maintenance involves removing plaque and tartar from above and below the gumline, recommended every 3 months to help stabilize and reverse the damaging effects of gum disease. Includes a conjunctive irrigation therapy to destroy the infection causing bacteria.
Desensitization
Localized desensitizing $10 / Full Mouth $50
For those of you with sensitive teeth, say good bye to sensodyne and try our Duraflor treatment. A fluoride varnish that provides a barrier to the areas affected and alleviates the discomfort. We also investigate the source of the sensitivity so that it doesn’t return.
Cavity Prevention
Introducing a new product called Silver Diamine Fluoride. $30
SDF is a liquid substance used to help prevent caries (tooth cavities) from forming, growing, or spreading to adjacent teeth. This new technology for arresting decay is a more comfortable alternative for children or adults who have anxiety and are unable to fully engage in dental procedures.
This is a quick and easy treatment, and only needs to be done once a year.
Dental Sealants
Pit and Fissure Sealant $30 per tooth
Dental sealant is a clear plastic coating placed on the biting surfaces of the teeth. Typically applied to decay-prone surfaces such as the permanent molars that have deep grooves and fissures. Dental sealants are most effective when applied within 6 months of eruption.
